BECKLEY STABBING MURDER - Police are searching for a man they say stabbed a man to death in Beckley early Saturday morning.

They have issued a first degree murder warrant for Charles Breckenridge.

Beckley police say Breckenridge stabbed a 46-year-old man several times on a Beckley Street around midnight.

The name of the victim and a possible motive for the murder have not been released.

ANOTHER PIZZA HOLD-UP - Police are looking for a man who held up a Gino's Pizza on Charleston's West Side late Saturday night.

They say a man walked into the pizza place just before midnight, pulled out a gun and demanded money.

He then took off with the cash.

CULPRIT TRIES TO RUN DOWN TROOPER - A Virginia man is charged with attempted murder after he allegedly tried to run over a West Virginia state trooper in Wyoming County early Saturday morning.

It happened near the Wyoming-Mingo county line.

The Wyoming County Sheriff's Office had been investigating a call about a drunken driver.

One person was in custody when a second apparently ran from the scene, police said.

While officers were attempting to capture one suspect, the other man got back in the vehicle and tried to run over a trooper, the man managed to get away.

Media reports say one or more officers shot at the man.

Police in Virginia later arrested 26-year-old Matthew Hackney of Hurley, Va. who showed up at Roanoke Memorial Hospital with a gunshot wound in his arm.

TWO DEAD OF GUNSHOT WOUNDS - Sunday morning, State Police in Morgantown were called to assist EMS at a home on McKinney Cave Road.

When police arrived two people were located in the residence, both had suffered gunshot wounds.

They've been identified as Randy A. Dalton and Lori M. Dodson.

The weapon involved was recovered.
