Wanda Lee Rogers, 42, of Parkersburg, West Virginia, passed away April 23, 2012 at Brightwood Center Follansbee, WV.
She had been sick for a long time. A golden heart stopped beating but the Lord knew Wanda would never get well on earth so the Lord took her up to Heaven. God has another beautiful angel in his garden. Now she's resting in peace with God. She is home now in the loving arms of God.
She was born in Grantsville, WV on March 11, 1970, the daughter of Virginia Bower of Davisville and Jerry K. (Lisa) Bower of Parkersburg. Wanda was a past resident of Rescare. Her special angel was Sheila Greene. Wanda was very active. Besides helping out in the Rescare office, she loved going to church and helping out in the Salvation Army soup kitchen.
She was a great lover of working puzzles. She was a volunteer at Cedar Grove Personal Care, working puzzles with residents that wanted to participate. She loved doing laundry and going to the Parkersburg City Park. She also loved to dance.
Surviving along with her mom and dad are her brother, Vincent K. Bower and half brother J. Patrick Bower of Parkersburg; five aunts and three uncles as well as several cousins and lots of friends.
She was preceded in death by both sets of grandparents and an aunt.
There will be no visitation. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Stump Funeral Home, Grantsville, WV for a graveside service at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, beginning at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 25, 2012 with the Rev. Alfred Hickman officiating.
