Prom is an exciting time of year for the community. Every year the girls
purchase their dresses and the guys rent their tuxedos then they spend the
day
running around town getting ready for the big night.
One of the decisions
they
make is where to eat beforehand and it sometimes involves traveling to
Parkersburg or Charleston, which takes away from the time they have to get
ready
for the evening festivities.
This year Knotts Memorial UMC in Grantsville will make things a little
easier
for these young people. The church will host dinner for the 2012 CHS
Junior-Senior Prom Saturday at 5:30 p.m. in the Social Hall.
There will
be a
charge of $4 per person. Menu will consist of Salad, Baked Chicken, Boiled
Potatoes, Green Beans and Rolls. There will also be beverages and dessert.
Sign
up will only take place during the week of April 16-20. Trisha Turner will
have
a sign-up sheet and will be collecting money during the time that Prom
tickets
will be sold.
