Calhoun County United Methodist Cooperative Parish awarded High School Senior Kristina Jarvis, daughter of Cheryl and Rick
Jarvis a $500 scholarship. In addition, High School Seniors Rebecca Swisher, daughter of Nora and Allen Swisher and Melanie
Davis, daughter of Pam and Tim Davis were both awarded $250 scholarships.
This is the second year that the Calhoun United Methodist Cooperative has awarded such scholarships based on church and
community involvement and expression of the applicant's faith.
Pastor Mary Zimmer, Coordinator for the Cooperative stated that these scholarships were made possible through the gifts from
individuals and United Methodist Churches within Calhoun County. This year because of generous donations the Cooperative
was able to award three scholarships, which is an increase from last year.
The Cooperative is excited about this ministry that recognizes our youth and their openness in being servants of Christ.
