SHOOTING GIRLFRIEND? - Emanuel Belton, 48, of Fairmont has been denied bail after the Fairmont Police said he threatened to shoot his girlfriend in the head.
Belton has a rap sheet of domestic battery charges that spans more than 10 years, police say.
He is charged with domestic assault and will remain in the North Central Regional Jail pending a preliminary hearing.
PRESTON ARMED ROBBERY - Preston County sheriff's deputies have two people in custody in connection with an armed robbery that happened Thursday afternoon in Tunnelton.
The subjects entered the W W Service Center at 2 p.m., according to authorities.
The two people are in custody and being questioned, but no charges have been filed yet.

The Monongalia County Sheriff's Department is investigating an armed robbery that occurred just after 9 p.m. Wednesday night at the Food Mart in Eastgate Plaza.
a white male entered the store with a hand gun and demanded money from the clerk.
Police say the clerk gave the man an undisclosed amount and the suspect then fled the area.
No one was injured during the robbery and the sheriff's department is still investigating.
