BIKERS FIRE ON STATE POLICE - Four members of a motorcycle club have been arrested after one of them allegedly shot at State Police near Beckley.
State Police say an undercover investigation led to the encounter with members of the motorcycle club.
The investigation led to a few troopers nearly being shot by a member of the Avenger Motorcycle Gang members.
Gang members pulled up beside the troopers and began making gestures indicating that they had a gun.
When the troopers pulled over to the side of the road and displayed their badges and ID's, gang member Thomas Speck fired a single shot at the troopers as he wrecked his bike.
Speck then jumped on a fellow member's bike and attempted to escape. Speck of Lapeer, Mich., was charged with wanton endangerment, a firearms possession violation, fleeing and being a fugitive from justice.
Delmer Lee Cozart of Beckley and Clyde Frank of Harper were charged with being accessories after the fact to wanton endangerment. James Morris of Eccles was charged with being an accessory to wanton endangerment, carrying a concealed weapon and fleeing.
CHARLESTON ARMED ROBBERY - Charleston Police have taken one person into custody after an armed robbery on the Charleston's west side.
A man approached a woman on Park Avenue just before 5:30 p.m. Thursday, pulled out a loaded gun and took her cash.
Police found the man shortly after in a car on Patrick Street and he was taken into custody.
TOBACCO STORE ROBBED - Troopers hope surveillance video will help identify a man who robbed Stogie's Discount Tobacco along U.S. 60 near Huntington Wednesday night.
The man walked into the store, pulled out a knife, demanded cash and then took off.
A Huntington Police K-9 unit was brought in and tracked the suspect to a nearby neighborhood.
Officers say they found two empty bags that had contained money from the robbery.
