Beulah Pearl Edwards age 92 of Fairground Rd., Glenville, West Virginia, departed this life at 5:04 p.m., Sunday, March 11, 2012 at the Glenville Care and Rehabilitation Center, following an extended illness.
She was born March 13, 1920 a daughter of the late Dicie Dora Wilfong.
Mrs. Edwards was a homemaker, then after the death of her husband, she baby sat, and was a housekeeper. She attended the Glenville First Baptist Church, she loved reading the Bible, flower gardening, and being involved in social gatherings.
On August 6, 1942 she was united in marriage to Raymond "Brooks" Edwards who preceded her in death on May 14, 1972.
Surviving are one daughter, Naomi Kirkpatrick and husband Joseph of Glenville; and one son, Ronnie Edwards and companion Brenda Erwin of Columbus, Indiana.
There are three grandchildren, Michelle Clowser of Cedarville, West Virginia, Regina Caudle of Thurmond, North Carolina, and Stacy Shupe of Mattoon, Illinois. Three great grandchildren also survive, Leah Shupe, Joseph Caudle, and Nicholas Clowser.
Mrs. Edwards was the last surviving member of her immediate family, having been preceded in death by 2 brothers.
Funeral Services will be conducted at the Ellyson Mortuary Inc. Glenville, at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, March 17, 2012 with Rev. Kenny Fisher officiating. Burial will follow in the Otterbein Cemetery. Friends may call 6-8 p.m., Friday, at the Mortuary. Family requests in lieu of flowers that donations be made to the Glenville First Baptist Church Cancer Fund.
