Supreme Court Justice Larry Starcher and author John O'Brien will speak at the
Golden Horseshoe Reunion today at Glenville State College. Three to four-hundred
winners are expected to attend the program which begins at 10 a.m.
Starcher won a golden horseshoe while a student in Roane County. O'Brien is the
author of a popular book "At Home in the Heart of Appalachia."
The "Horseshoe" goes back to 1932 in West Virginia, honoring students for their
knowledge of West Virginia history. .
Other West Virginia writers are on the program. The public is invited to attend.
