NICHOLAS CO. SHOOTING -
According to a news release, Doyle Edward Taylor, 36, of Summersville and Danny Lee Rader, 65, of Mount Nebo, got into a fight at Rader's home.
Taylor left the house, but returned with a gun and shot Rader in the chest, according to police.
Taylor was found hiding in the woods and taken into custody and has been charged with malicious wounding and wanton endangerment. His bond has been set at $150,000.
Rader was taken to CAMC General for treatment, his condition unknown.
DEPUTY SHOOTS MAN - A Lewis County deputy shot a man Saturday who fled from a traffic stop in Weston, after chasing him several miles to a remote area known as Wolfpen.
Police said the officer was trying to pull the driver over because they had felony warrants on him.
"There were three individuals in the car. They were in a very remote area of the county. There was only one officer who was in the police cruiser and ended up in shooting the victim at this scene," said Sheriff Michael Gissy.
Sheriff Gissy says the man who was shot by the deputy was flown to Ruby Memorial Hospital where he's listed in stable condition.
State Police are investigating the incident.
RALEIGH CO. MURDER - Police are looking for a suspect in Raleigh Co. who shot and killed a man in Beckley.
Family members found the body of 22-year-old Jeffrey Singleton inside his home Saturday.
Police say Singleton was shot twice in the side during what appears to have been a robbery.
Singleton was a Charleston native and had just recently moved to Beckley.
