24-year-old Paul Richard Goodrich III of Russett Road appeared before Calhoun magistrate Teresa Robinson yesterday on a felony count of operating a meth lab.
Goodrich is one of Calhoun High School's highest achieving athletes in football and wrestling.
His case was waived to Calhoun Circuit Court, where it will be presented to a Grand Jury. He has been released on bond from Central Regional Jail.
His father, Paul Richard Goodrich, Jr., 48, has also been released on bond and is set to appear in Calhoun magistrate court before magistrate Rick Postalwait on March 6 for disposition.
The elder Goodrich, a former assistant football coach at Calhoun High School, has been charged with manufacturing marijuana and intent to deliver.
