Howard Rafferty, 72, of Rt. 5 East, Grantsville, West Virginia, passed away February 11, 2012 at his home after a long illness.
He was a member of the Bethlehem Baptist Church of Grantsville, was a retired machinist by trade, a pilot and most of all a servant of Jesus Christ. He was born September 11, 1939 at Holt Run in Gilmer County a son of the late Clark and Beryl Radabaugh Rafferty.
Surviving are his wife of 30 years, Sheryl Rafferty; 2 sons, Mathew of Akron OH and Ben of Grantsville; a daughter, Erin Sorencen (Eric) of Corona CA; a sister, Judy Malloney (Tom) of Little River SC; a brother, Gary Rafferty (Sherri) of Barberton OH; sister-in-law, Judy Rafferty of Long Beach CA; stepmother, Doris Vineyard Rafferty.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Ron Rafferty.
Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 16 at Bethlehem Baptist Church with Rev. Gene Johnson officiating. Interment will be in Turner Cemetery at Lockney.
Friends will be received at the church one hour prior to the services. |
