Leonard Lee Greenlief age 81 of Lower Big Run Rd., Cox's Mill departed this life at 4:16 p.m., Wednesday, February 8, 2012 on Lower Big Run Rd. as the result of a 4-wheeler accident.
He was born July 5, 1930 in Gilmer County a son of the late Walter and Bessie VanKirk Greenlief.
Leonard was a truck driver having done over-the-road, Waco Oil & Gas and Jennings Trucking. He also was former school bus driver and worked for 4-D Plastics. He was an Army veteran of the Korean Conflict and was a Baptist by faith. He enjoyed hunting, cutting fire wood and anything that would keep him outdoors.
On July 22, 1955 he was united in marriage to Annalea Moore Greenlief who survives at their Lower Big Run home.
Surviving are 2 sons and 1 daughter, Larry Greenlief and wife Karen and Jeffrey Greenlief all of Cox's Mill, and Shirley Greenlief and husband James Latonick of Martinsburg WV. Also surviving are 5 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren; one brother, Paul Jr. Greenlief and wife Pauline of Cedarville WV.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one son, Charles Lee Greenlief and one sister Lydia Kennedy.
Funeral services will be held at the Ellyson Mortuary, Inc., at 1:00 p.m., Sunday, February 12, 2012 with Pastor Bryan Groves officiating. Burial will follow in the Rhoades Cemetery, Kelley Run. Friends may call 5-8 p.m., Saturday at the Mortuary.
