BRAXTON RESIDENTS INDICTED - Named On State Police's "Target List" For No Breaks

Three Braxton County residents who were on an eleven-person State Police "target list" have been indicted by a Braxton County Grand Jury. The list was signed by Sgt. John Bonazzo of the State Police, who received a five-day suspension shortly after it surfaced. State Police would not disclose why Sgt. Bonazzo was reprimanded

Johnna Stalnaker has been indicted on two felony counts of delivery of a controlled substance and possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance (marijuana), from incidents in November, 2001. The charges are being brought by Sgt. John Bonazzo, detachment commander of the West Virginia State Police in Braxton County.

Former restaurant and bar owner Renee VanHorn has been indicted with evidence presented by the Braxton County Sheriff's Department. She is charged with felony counts of delivery of a controlled substance (hydrocodone) to a juvenile, and two counts of of delivery of a controlled substance (marijuana) to a juvenile, the incidents allegedly happened in June 2001.

Jordan Grubb was indicted with a felony offense of forgery and uttering, related to a $100 check, from an incident in October, 2001. The charges were brought by Sgt. John Bonazzo.

Bonazzo's list said these and other individuals were not to be given any breaks.The Braxton prosecutor said he felt the list was legal, but civil suits are being filed over the issue.
