The WV Public Service Commission is lowering the price of residential gas for Dominion Hope customers.
Household gas rates will be reduced by nearly 4 percent beginning next Wednesday.
Customers' gas rates are adjusted annually to account for differences in the cost of purchased gas.
Natural gas prices from the well-head have remained low.
The PSC proceedings provide for rate adjustments based on an estimate of future costs utilities will pay for gas from their suppliers as well as adjusting for the actual costs for the previous year.
