Stella "Nelle" Justice was born
December 5, 1925, and passed away June 12, 2002.
Nelle was born in Milo, WV, and came to Akron
after graduating from Calhoun County High School
in 1943. She was an original "Rosie the Riveter,"
working on fighter planes at Goodyear Aircraft.
Next, she was employed in the printing business
of Lindsay Lithograph Company for 17 years. She then
worked for the General Tire print shop until
retirement. Nelle made a mark on many lives, her
parents, siblings, co-workers, and friends. She
put a lot of effort into a long and productive
work life and left much in evidence.
Nelle was preceded in death by her husband,
Burnell Justice; her parents, Albert and Ina
Douglas; sisters, Vesta Ellison and Pearl Burner;
brothers, Roscoe Hunt, Otto Hunt, Harry Douglas,
and Nelson Douglas. Surviving her are sister and
brother-in-law, Irene and Harry Hanna; sister,
Ruth Boggs; brother, Nolan Douglas; brother and
sister-in-law, William and Joyce Douglas; and
special friend during her illness, Lois Starcher.
Also surviving are many nieces, nephews,
grandnieces and grandnephews.
Nelle will be sadly missed by her family and
friends, particularly those at Akron Airport Post

Services were Friday, June 14 at the
Billows Fairlawn Chapel, 85 N. Miller Rd., with
Rev. Joe Frank officiating. Interment at Rose
Hill Burial Park.
