A 58-year-old Oka man's body was discovered in a cabin off Oka Road Thursday night, sources indicated he had been dead about a week.
A medical examiner was contacted.
Responders had a difficult time reaching the residence on Old Miller Hollow Road, a remote area, during heavy rain.
A Calhoun EMS ambulance got stuck on the primitive road, and other responders were called to the scene, including the Upper West Fork VFD.
Calhoun Control indicated a dozer would have to be utilized to extract the ambulance.
State Police investigated the scene, and the body was removed to the Stump Funeral Home.
