| Leon B. Riggs, 92, of Parkersburg, West Virginia, formerly of Hughes Fork, Calhoun County, passed away January 2, 2012 at home following a short illness.
He was born December 1, 1919, a son of the late Locksie Park Riggs and Roxzetta Cooper Riggs.
He retired from Sav-A-Tool after 20 years service.
He is survived by a daughter, Kathryn Jean Lydick; son, Jerry Riggs and his wife Doris; one granddaughter, Lisa Marks and her husband Darren; one great grandson, Tyler; one brother, Burl V. Riggs and his wife Polly; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Marjorie Knight Riggs; two brothers and two sisters.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, Jan. 7 at 12-noon at Stump Funeral Home in Grantsville. Burial will be in the Bryner Chapel Cemetery at Joker.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Jan. 6 at the funeral home. |
