| Walter L. Donaldson age 82 of Rt. 1 Cox's Mill, West Virginia, departed this life at the residence of his son Larry, following an extended illness.
Born May 12, 1929 in Gilmer County son of the late Walter F. and Ivy Paugh Donaldson.
Walter was a veteran of the Korean Conflict, retired saw mill operator, and enjoyed gardening.
On September 21, 1955 he was united in marriage to Pearl Losh Donaldson who preceded him in death on October 11, 1996.
Surviving are 1 daughter and 3 sons, Cathy Sandmier and husband Scott of Mineral Wells WV, Larry Donaldson and wife Patricia of Orlando WV, Edward Donaldson of Cox's Mill, and James Donaldson and wife Emma of Linn WV. There are 5 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren also surviving.
Walter was the last surviving member of his immediate family, having been preceded in death by 6 siblings.
Funeral services will be conducted at the Ellyson Mortuary Inc. at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday December 28 with Rev. Martin Wine officiating. Burial will follow in the McHenry II Cemetery. Friends may call 5-8 p.m. Tuesday at the mortuary.
