| Alice Virginia (Ginny) Cole Higgs, 87, of Fairmont-Grantsville, died Dec. 16, 2011 at the Minnie Hamilton Healthcare Center following a short illness.
Alice was the daughter of the late James Cole and Alice M. Cole.
She was a longtime resident of Fairmont, but had lived the last four years with family in Mt. Zion, WV and Summerville, SC. She was a Christian who lived her faith.
She was predeceased by her parents, four brothers, and her husband, William H. Higgs.
She is survived by four sons: Mark Higgs & wife Sarah of Mt. Zion,WV; William Higgs & wife Kathy of Fairmont,WV; Cyrus Higgs & wife Veronica of Mt. Pleasant, SC; and Richard Higgs & wife Kristy of Lumberport, WV.
She also has 12 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
The funeral was held at the Fountain of Life Christian Fellowship church in Fairmont, WV on Dec. 20, 2011. Burial was in Pisgah Cemetery in Smithtown, WV, Ginny loved the people of Calhoun County and enjoyed the time she lived here |
