| It's time for basketball.
The West Virginia University Extension Service is helping to sponsor a youth basketball league again this year in Calhoun County.
The league will be for boys and girls in grades 3-6 from all Calhoun County Schools. The league will begin in January and run through the end of February. Practices will be held two evenings a week at the elementary schools and games will tentatively be on Saturday mornings and/or Sunday afternoons at Calhoun Middle High School.
The fee will be $20 for the first child from a family, $15 for the second; $10 for the third. The fee will help to provide insurance for each child, a league t-shirt, recognition at the end of the season, and it will assist in purchasing needed equipment.
Please complete the sign-up sheet available at the county schools and return it to your child's school by January 6, 2012. Coaches will be contacting you with practice times and the fee will be due the first day of practice.
