Jeremy Shane Smith, 23, of Newton, West Virginia, died December 14, 2011.
He was a pipe line construction worker, a 2006 graduate of Roane County High School and a member of the Newton Baptist Church. Jeremy enjoyed deer hunting.
Survivors include his parents, Rob and Karen Roush of Charleston WV; sisters, Heather Smith of Newton and Chelsey Dillard of Charleston; grandparents, Jack and Ina Jean Smith of Newton and Norman and Janet Roush of Charleston; girlfriend, Morgan Hoff of Newton; several aunts, uncles and cousins.
A funeral service will be held Sunday, Dec. 18 at 2:00 p.m. in the John H. Taylor Funeral Home, Spencer with Rev. Ron Fisher and Rev. David McLaughlin officiating. Burial will be in the J. Herbert Smith Family Cemetery, Looneyville.
Friends may call Saturday from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
