Up to ten regional fire departments are on scene today at the Cisco boat landing,
Hughes River, "searching for a missing person," according to the Smithville VFD.
The search was continuing into Sunday night.
Fire departments from Parkersburg and Ohio have joined in the search for what
appears to be a drowning victim, yet unconfirmed.
The area is near the Ritchie-Wirt line of Route 47 between Parkersburg and Smithville,
in an area dotted by fishing and hunting cabins. |
