HUNTER SHOT - A Jackson County hunter is suffering from a gunshot wound to the leg.
911 Dispatchers are saying a man was accidentally shot by another hunter Saturday evening in the Evans community, with WVDNR officials reportedly investigating.
WVDNR advised the Hur Herald they will release public information about incidents provided a Freedom of Information request is made to the agency.
SHOOTING IN MARION COUNTY - The Marion County Sheriff's Department is investigating a shooting that occurred early Sunday morning.
According to the 911 Communications Center, deputies went to a 'shots fired' call around 12:30 a.m. on Baxter Street.
Reportedly a father-in-law and son-in-law got into an altercation and the father-in-law was shot in the stomach with a rifle.
The Marion County Sheriff's Department has not released any details of the shooting.
BRANDISHING INCIDENT IN MON COUNTY -
Police in Monongalia County are asking for help, following an incident early Saturday morning at 4 a.m. when they responded to a "handgun brandishing."
They say a man allegedly pointed a gun at three other men, threatened them with it, and a physical altercation followed.
The men received minor injuries, none of those injuries were from the gun.
Police say they found about 2 1/2 lbs. of marijuana, and drug paraphernalia, which they seized.
WESTON ARREST FOLLOWING HOLD-UP -
Weston Police have arrested a man in connection with a November robbery.
Police say 18-year-old Christopher Lee Bills allegedly robbed the 7-11 on North Main Street in Weston on November 27th.
Police say Bills went into the store armed with a handgun and took money and several packs of cigarettes before fleeing. He is charged with first degree armed robbery.
