| Bessie Irene Anderson, 82, of Spencer, West Virginia, died Saturday, December 3, 2011, in the Roane General Hospital, Spencer.
She was born February 20, 1929, at Clover, a daughter of the late Ballard Pendleton and Sarah Jane Matheney Caldwell.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur C. Anderson in 1992; one grandson, Jason Daniel Anderson; four brothers, James, Charles, Harry and Robert Caldwell; ten half brothers and sisters.
Mrs. Anderson was a homemaker. She was a member of the Keffer United Methodist Church, Clover and a lifelong resident of Roane County.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Joyce and Ronnie Casto of Spencer, sons and daughters-in-law, Arthur Steven and Helen Anderson of Spencer, William Jeffery and Donna Anderson of Parkersburg; sister, Ocie Hunt of Spencer; six grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
A funeral service will be held Tuesday, December 6 at noon in the John H. Taylor Funeral Home, Spencer, with the Rev. Daniel R. Whited and the Rev. Donald D. Cottrill, Sr. officiating. Burial will be in the Clover Cemetery. Friends may call Monday from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
