| Dorothy L. Kerby, 65, of Grantsville, West Virginia, passed away December 2, 2011, following a sudden illness.
She was born in Grantsville, August 24, 1946, to the late William and Ernestine Wilson Harris.
She will be deeply missed by her husband, Wilbert Kerby; daughter, Ronda Williams and grandson Nicholas Williams both of Tanner. Also surviving are brothers, Robert Harris and wife Ann of Parkersburg, Larry Harris and wife Terry of Grantsville; sister, Judy Phares of McConnelsville OH. She also leaves behind five nieces who depended on and admired her greatly.
Dorothy was a 1965 graduate of Calhoun County High School. She was a member and served as secretary for the Eastern Star. She was employed by Nationwide Insurance in Grantsville. She had a deep love of animals that was apparent by her time and effort given to saving, spaying and neutering many dogs and cats throughout hometown.
Services will be held at Stump Funeral Home, Grantsville, Tuesday, December 6 at 1 p.m. Interment will be in the Pleasant hill Cemetery. Order of the Eastern Star memorial services will be held Monday at 7 p.m. at the funeral home, where friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. |
