For the first time in a while Creston had high water with some folks blocked in and others blocked out. W. Va. Route 5 was closed at Burning Springs and both below and above Brooksville so there was no mail on Wednesday. Locally most roads that weren't on ridges were under water with four feet on the Little Creek bridge. Some deer hunters who were not familiar with their surroundings discovered that they couldn't get back the way they came and, in some instances, couldn't go any other way. Other than some hay bales being washed down river it would seem that damage locally was minimal.

While Monday was a 'fair' day for hunting, Tuesday's pouring rain (that caused the flooding) made that day a waste and Wednesday found many choice hunting spots completely inacessable. Speaking of water and deer, the other evening one driver had to wait while six does crossed the Little Creek bridge.

Junior Ferrell got a nice 6 pointer while C Romeo Griffin, Jr. bagged a 10 point. The Annamoriah Cowpoke got an 8 point and the 9th tine was broken off. Terry said it was from fighting but others said he shot and hit the antler. Steve Basnett bagged a 10 point and old Wiley Coyote himself. Old Wiley weighed in at 35 lb. Local deer now have liver flukes that must be cut out before the meat is cooked. Of course it is tasty then. The Cowpoke's trophies can be seen on Basnettoutdoor.com

Mary (Jenny) Belt who had been in the intensive care unit is on the mend at CAMC in Charleston.

Mr. & Mrs. "Cooter" Marks & family and Mr. & Mrs. C. Romeo Griffin, Jr. and family were Thanksgiving dinner guests at the new Creston Space Dock. During the high water intergalactic travel was not impared but land travel was restricted from the Pell swamp to the bank below Charles Russell's house.

Bessie Arthur was attending to business in Elizabeth.

The price of local Pennsylvania grade crude oil rose $1.09/bbl to $96.56 while natural gas is in the $3.50 range or, otherwise stated, a price below the cost of production. With bad decisions being made down in the lower Potomac swamps and in Europe the economic outlook is anything but good. The "occupy crowds" continue to practice with hired Mexicans and poor little rich kids for likely major confrontations to help the Big Eared One during the election next year. ACORN, the voter fraud group, is among the leaders and the "One" formerly worked for/with them.

Mary Javins Weaver brought the message at the Burning Springs. M. E. Church.

Anna Yates was visiting at the Schenerlein residence in Vienna.

The Creston auction will be Saturday, December 3, starting at 6 P. M. It will be the time to get stocking stuffers and certain tasty items useful during the Holidays and when out in the woods. Also one can come and tell about all the big racks and how tasty the tenderloin was when fried.

ATF, the outfit that, at the direction of very highly placed individuals in the federal government, sold guns to the Mexican drug dealers to try to show "that our lax gun laws caused all the killing in Mexico" and that the Second Amendment should be voided recently advised that those who have guns with legal silencers should not keep chore boy scouring pads on hand as they could be used to rebuild silencers that need repair and, of course, the ATF would not get their $200 fee.

It seems that the Girl Scouts have teamed up with the big abortion parlour operator Planned Parenthood and that funds from the scouts find their way to the baby killers. Some folks are very upset over this.

Nancy Engelke was calling at the Jim and Bobba Full residence.
