SHOOTING DEATHS AT BIRTHDAY PARTY - Authorities have charged a Raleigh County man with fatally shooting two people at a birthday party at his residence.
Media reports are saying that 29-year-old Jessie Suttle was arrested in Dunbar following the double shooting, and is being held at the South Central Regional Jail on first-degree murder charges.
The Raleigh County Sheriff's Department says the shootings happened Tuesday night at Suttle's residence on Mill Creek Road on the Raleigh-Fayette county line.
Sheriff Steve Tanner said Suttle was hosting a birthday party for his younger brother when a fight broke. Suttle is charged with shooting 18-year-old Landon Williams and a 16-year-old juvenile with a semi-automatic rifle.
The sheriff says Williams died at the scene. Police believe the juvenile was a bystander who was hit by a stray bullet. He died a few hours later at a local hospital.
