| The West Virginia State Police have made some new regional assignments.
A new First Sgt. has been named for the Grantsville, Spencer and Clay detachments. Sgt. Brad Snodgrass, a former Spencer detachment commander, is filling the post.
Snodgrass recently replaced longtime detachment commander Sgt. Dale Fluharty, who retired.
Snodgrass, 35, of Parkersburg is replacing First Sgt. John Bonazzo, who has been promoted to First Lieutenant and will be stationed at South Charleston.
Sgt. Fred Hammack, 39, is the new detachment commander in Spencer, replacing Snodgrass.
