Fire strikes Rt. 5 residence, family needs help
A small house along Rt. 5 just west of Grantsville was heavily damaged Thursday night with the contents destroyed.
The James and Jessica Wilmoth family escaped from the dwelling while calling 911, including Dartagen, 10 and Ray, 16.
The family indicated the fire started in a laundry room.
The Grantsville VFD responded at 6:23 p.m.
The family is in need of household furniture and appliances and household supplies.
