CHARLESTON MURDER - A shooting investigation has turned into a murder investigation. the victim is 35-year-old Jerry Baldwin, who died at a hospital Tuesday Morning.
Police say Baldwin was shot multiple times by Donald Raines, II.
The report says Raines saw his ex-girlfriend, who lives next door, in her driveway with Baldwin around 2 a.m.
An argument followed and Raines went back into his home and got a 9mm handgun, came back outside and shot Baldwin.
Raines was arrested Tuesday and charged with malicious wounding and he posted bond.
After being released, police say the victim died and they re-arrested Raines and charged him with first degree murder.
Neighbors say Baldwin leaves behind two young boys.
