The West Virginia Board of Education is holding an awards dinner to honor school achievements at the Embassy Suites in Charleston.
Two regional schools are being honored, Davis Elementary in Braxton County and Ellenboro Elementary in Ritchie County.
Fifty-eight public schools and eight career and technical centers will be honored for achieving exemplary accreditation status, the highest possible honor.
Three other National Blue Ribbon schools will be recognized.
The Office of Education Performance Audits says exemplary status schools must meet rigorous standards in reading, writing, language arts, math, science and social studies.
