A trial for Roy C. Forquer, Jr., 31, charged with the malicious assault of an Arnoldsburg man, was continued Tuesday because his attorney Nancy Wikins is hospitalized.
Calhoun prosecutor Rocky Holmes indicated a plea agreement was being considered in the matter.
The case will resume Thursday in Grantsville at 9:30 a.m.
State Police arrested Forquer (pictured right) a resident of Salem, charging him with the malicious assault of Greg Butler of Beech. Police say Forquer stabbed Butler in the rib cage after he flagged him down on US 33-119. Butler was not acquainted with the man.
