WOMAN SHOOTS GUN AT MAN - A Cabell County woman is in jail after allegedly threatening a man and firing a gun at him. .
Sheriff's deputies responded to the incident in Barboursville after Elva Davis reportedly fired a shot from a 20-gauge shotgun on the ground
Police say she then pointed the gun at the man and threatened him.
Davis is charged with wanton endangerment and is being held on $50,000 bond in the Western Regional Jail.
KANAWHA MAN FACING MULTIPLE CHARGES - A federal grand jury indicted a Dunbar man on firearm charges after he was arrested last month in a separate incident during which he is accused of shooting another Dunbar man several times with a 9mm handgun.
Lamont Van Harris, 38, was indicted in federal court after prosecutors said he was illegally carrying a firearm.
According to a federal criminal complaint, Van Harris was convicted three times on drug charges since 1993, and had been on parole at the time of last month's shooting.
He now faces up to 10 years in prison and a $250,000 fine if convicted on the new charges.
