| Larry D. Batten, 59 of Palestine, West Virginia, passed away Oct 17, 2011 at St Joseph Hospital, Parkersburg.
Larry was born Aug. 23, 1952 the son of the late Lloyd Virgil Batten and Marjorie Batten.
He was a farmer having raised Tennessee Walker horses.
He is survived by his mother; two sons Alexander (Paige) Stanley and Dean Batten both of Parkersburg WV; 3 brothers, Gary (Mabel) Batten of Belleville WV, David (Linda) Batten, and Paul (Nicki) Batten all of Elizabeth WV; 2 sisters, Gloria (Michael) Dupont of Billerica MA and Brenda (Kenneth) Cooper of Parkersburg.
He was preceded in death by his father; one daughter, Lauren Marie Batten; one granddaughter Jayleigh Alexis Stanley.
A graveside service will be held Wed. October 19 at 11:00 a.m. at Fairview Cemetery in Wirt County with the Rev. Danny McVey officiating.
