Walter W. Brown, 81 - Chloe

Walter W. Brown, 81 of Chloe, West Virginia, a retired carpenter and avid outdoorsman, died October 9, 2011 at the Louis A. Johnson Veteran Hospital in Clarksburg after a long battle with kidney disease.

Born in Brockton, Massachusetts he was the son of the late Edward J. Brown and Margaret (Guenther) Brown.

Walter was a veteran of the Korean War serving stateside. He was a graduate of West Bridgewater High School. He was a longtime resident of Bridgewater, later he moved to West Virginia with his nephew, Richard Jr.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by brothers, George, Edward, and Richard; and sisters, Ellen and Winifred.

He is survived by many nieces and nephews and other family members who all love him very much and will miss him greatly.

Military Graveside rites will be held 1:30 p.m. Monday, October 17 at the West Virginia National Cemetery in Grafton.

Stump Funeral Home of Arnoldsburg is in charge of the arrangements.
