James Roger Plant, 77 of Grantsville, West Virginia, died October 10, 2011 at St. Francis Hospital in Charleston, WV.
Born June 23, 1934 in Calhoun County West Virginia, James was the son of the late Roscoe and Georgia Kelley Plant. He served in the US Marine Corp and was a member of the Local 14614 United Steel Worker Union.
In addition to parents he was preceded in death by one brother, Roy Plant and three sisters, Hazel Staul, Dortha Siers, and Elizabeth Shaffer.
James is survived by three daughters, Kathyrn Plant-Munson of Grantsville, Monica Ann Barker of Parkersburg WV, and Marcia Lynn Abu-ali of Lakewood OH; one brother, Robert Plant of Grantsville; and two sisters, Sharon Chadock of Cambridge OH, and Carolyn Shaffer of Mt Zion WV; six grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Friday, October 14 at the Stump Funeral Home in Grantsville. Burial will be in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday.
