Glenville, WV - Members of the Glenville State College Bluegrass Band will be presenting the Tenth Annual Fall Bluegrass Concert tonight.
The event will take place in the GSC Fine Arts Auditorium at 7:00 p.m.
The concert will honor the 100th birthday of Bill Monroe, the founder of bluegrass music.
"It is such an honor to be part of the 100th anniversary of Bill Monroe. He is the 'Father of Bluegrass Music' and is one of my biggest idols. I am happy that GSC gets to join in the celebration of his life that is happening all around the nation," said GSC Bluegrass Music Degree Program Director Megan Darby.
Admission costs for the Fall Bluegrass Concert are: $5 for one general admission, $8 for a pair of tickets, and free for GSC students with ID and children under five. Proceeds will benefit the GSC Bluegrass Music Degree Program. There will be a special fundraising auction during the brief intermission.
