 Mary Mildred Wood, 92, of Reedy, West Virginia, died Thursday, September 29, 2011, in Roane General Hospital, Spencer.
She was born December 30, 1918, in Wirt County, a daughter of the late James Matthew and Frances Tucker McCutcheon. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Andrew Wood.
Mrs. Wood was a homemaker and member of the Good Hope Baptist Church, Reedy.
Survivors include five sons, Jim Wood of Reedy, Paul Wood of Heber Springs AR, Rick Wood of Gandeeville WV, Dave Wood of Reedy and Kenneth Wood of Canal Winchester OH; a daughter, Beverly Nappi of Decanter AL; 12 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.
A funeral service was held Monday, October 3 in the John H. Taylor Funeral Home, Spencer, with the Rev. Calvin McCutcheon officiating. Burial was in the Good Hope Cemetery, Reedy.
