Minnie Hamilton Health System and the WV Breast and Cervical Cancer Program are hosting a Women's Health Day today.
The clinic and health fair will run from 8 am-12pm. During the clinic hours, Teresa Ritchie, C-FNP will be providing pap smears and clinical breast exams. Appointments will be available every fifteen minutes and need to be scheduled in advance.
BCCSP will be providing the exams free for those who qualify. Please visit www.wvdhhr.org/bccsp to determine eligibility.
There will be vendor tables located on the lawn outside the annex clinic for anyone wishing to stop by.
In conjunction with the clinic, the radiology department will be providing extended mammography hours during the same time frame. Anyone wishing to schedule a mammogram should do so in advance as it will be first come, first serve basis.
For women with insurance, mammograms will be billed as usual. Women 40-49 who are uninsured or underinsured may be eligible for a Susan G. Komen grant-funded mammogram. Women aged 50-65 may also qualify for BCCSP coverage.
