KANAWHA COUNTY SHOOTING - Travis Bush is in the hospital after being shot several times in Institute, with police saying the man responsible is on the run.
According to a press release, Kanawha County sheriff's deputies say Travis Bush was shot several times in Institute at 7:30 p.m. Saturday.
Bush was taken to CAMC and is listed in serious condition.
Police have obtained a warrant for Lamont Van Harris of Dunbar. He is charged with malicious wounding and is considered armed and dangerous.
WINFIELD MAN SHOOTS GIRLFRIEND - A man came to the Putnam County Sheriff's Department and knocked on the door, telling deputies he shot and killed his girlfriend in a mobile home in Winfield. He gave them a key to the place.
Eric Pauley, 49, is now in jail, after police went to the residence and found Debra Rosiek, 52, dead from multiple gunshot wounds to the chest.
Police have yet to release a motive for the crime.
CRUM WV STABBING -
A Wayne County man Cody Marcum is behind bars reportedly after stabbing a man eight times during a party in Crum.
Deputies are saying a fight involving over a half dozen people broke out at a party at a house early Saturday morning and Marcum stabbed Terry Chaffin multiple times.
Chaffin is in critical condition.
Police are not saying what started the fight.
Marcum is charged with malicious wounding and is in Western Regional Jail.
FAIRMONT STABBING - The Fairmont Police are investigating a stabbing involving a Fairmont State University football player.
Police said Nick Gwinn was stabbed below the ribs during an early morning incident Sunday, other details are not available.
He was taken to Ruby Memorial Hospital where he was listed in good condition.
VIENNA SHOOTING - An unidentified 20-year-old man has been hospitalized following a shooting in Vienna early Thursday morning.
Sgt. R.W. Shuman said authorities are not releasing details, indicating they are talking with the prosecutor's office. The case remains under investigation.
Shuman said the victim "ran through yards and jumped fences" before police arrived.
The victim suffered "non-life-threatening injuries" and was transported to Morgantown.
