If you have a few years on you, you have undoubtedly learned how quickly your life can change, for the worst or sometimes for the best.
The worst things reaffirms how powerless we are to prevent or control painful and difficult events, while it seems to be human nature to try and control, the life experience is that we often can't.
During the many years doing the Herald, we have directly or indirectly been part of difficult and tragic situations that happened to our readers, friends and neighbors.
Now, it's our turn.
Early Tuesday morning, my wife Dianne, the associate editor and workhorse of the Hur Herald, had a heart attack and is now in CAMC-Memorial Division, being evaluated and treated.
While
I do the footwork, picture taking and lots of writing, she's the person who puts it together almost every night for 13 years. She's really good at it, and when inspired is a really good writer.
While it might be a menial thing, for years she has also been dedicated to doing Animal Alert, through which literally hundreds of pet owners have found their pets, and hundreds more placed in good homes.
There are many folks who have have suffered through such stressful situations, as I have before, so we're hopeful to have the strength and courage to do it again, with the help of God and community.
Updates on the Herald will be limited, with plans to gear up Monday in full force.
So if your announcements or stories don't appear right away, we hope you understand.
Bests to you all,
Bob Weaver and family
