Labor Day weekend accidents continued Monday evening when two males, age 16 and 17, lost control on Rt. 16 two miles south of Grantsville about 7 p.m.
Car crashes and lands across Phillips Run on Rt. 16
The car crashed through some objects and landed against the far side of Phillips Run, heavily damaging the vehicle.
Both were taken to Minnie Hamilton Health System, one for treatment of lacerations to the head and upper body. Calhoun EMS and the Grantsville VFD responded.
About noon Sunday, a 60-year-old rider crashed his motorcycle on State Rt. 16 south of Chloe near the intersection of Walker Road.
First reports indicate the victim suffered a broken leg or hip with possible other injuries.
Calhoun EMS and the Upper West Fork VFD responded.
The victim was sent by chopper to Charleston Area Medical Center.
The first accident of the Labor Day weekend happened Saturday evening.
A 36-year-old man received multiple injuries in an ATV crash in the Frozen Run area of the county.
He was taken to Upper West Fork Park by Calhoun EMS following the 6:41 p.m. accident. He was air-lifted from the park to a medical center.
Reports indicated the man had possible head, hip and arm injuries.
The man was either the driver or a passenger on the ATV.
The Upper West Fork VFD also responded to the accident. State Police are investigating.
