WOMAN DOES HOLD-UP IN DANVILLE - Police are searching for a woman who robbed a BP station in Danville. They say she took a large amount of money and fled the scene.
The woman who entered the station, leaned across the counter and grabbed a large amount of cash from the register, said Chief Deputy Chad Barker of the Boone County Sheriff's Department.
It was not clear about a weapon.
The woman fled the scene in a gold, four-door Ford Explorer with Kentucky license plates.
MURDER-SUICIDE ATTEMPT IN MCDOWELL - A man shot his wife to death in McDowell County yesterday before critically wounding himself, according to a deputy sheriff.
Robert Wayne Johnson, 68, of Anawalt, shot his wife and then shot himself.
The woman died at the scene.
Johnson was transported by helicopter to a hospital in Bluefield.
