| State Director Bobby Lewis announces that USDA Rural Development approved a Community Facilities Economic Impact Initiative Grant in the amount of $1,500 for the Town of Burnsville.
The Rural Development funds will be used to assist in the purchase of a police cruiser for the Burnsville Police Department.
"Providing funds for such things as police cruisers, ambulances, fire trucks, emergency equipment, etc., is essential for communities in order to provide adequate protection and services to the citizens," said the USDA.
