A Gilmer County man from the Linn community is behind bars facing multiple sexual abuse charges.
John Robert Carder, 33, is charged with four counts of sexual assault in the second degree and four counts of sexual abuse of a child by a person of trust.
Gilmer County deputies say Carder supposedly gave a young girl alcohol and then performed sexual acts on her.
He's being held at Central Regional Jail with a bail amount set at $100,000.00.
The Gilmer County Sheriff's Department is investigating.
