| Hobert J. Adkins, 71, of Gandeeville, West Virginia, died Saturday, July 30, 2011, at his home.
He was born May 22, 1940, in Clay County WV, a son of the late Norman and Goldie McKinley Adkins.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Crystal Sizemore in 2001.
Mr. Adkins was a retired coal miner.
Survivors include his caregiver, Shirley; daughters, Carolyn Starcher, Martha K. Canterbury, Sharon Adkins and Heather Diane Little; son, Junior Wayne Adkins; sister, Wanda Miller; brothers, William and Michael Adkins; 11 grandchildren and one great grandson.
A funeral service will be held Tuesday, August 2 at 1:00 p.m. in the John H. Taylor Funeral Home, Spencer WV, with the Rev. Jack Roberts officiating. Burial will be in the Gandeeville Cemetery, Gandeeville.
