A vehicle crashed off a small bridge on Straight Creek Rd. about midnight Wednesday, sending a 31-year-old unrestrained male passenger to the hospital complaining of back pain.
The vehicle, with a driver and passengers, landed in a creek bed on the narrow country road a few hundred feet off Munday Road near the Calhoun-Wirt line.
The driver or passengers did not appear to have received serious injuries, although a second Calhoun EMS ambulance was called to the scene.
The Grantsville VFD responded to the accident.
Trooper J. E. Kincaid of the WV State Police is investigating the accident.
