Driver miraculously escapes injury
after crashing through downed tree
A 20-year-old Calhoun driver miraculously escaped injury when his car crashed through a large tree that fell across the highway on US 33-119 at Millstone shortly after midnight Tuesday.
The tree blocked the entire highway. The driver said he swung to the right where there appeared to be a slight opening, crashing through branches.
Calhoun 911 first received a call about a downed tree, but some time later the incident was reported with a wrecked car.
The Arnoldsburg VFD responded to the scene, clearing the highway.
Cpl. J. A. Bowles of the Grantsville Detachment investigated the accident.
