Responders work feverishly to extract three victims
from auto wedged in narrow creek-bed early Sunday morning

A single-car accident sent three to the hospital early Sunday morning, after their vehicle failed to negotiate a bridge in a turn on Yellow Creek Road.
The vehicle crashed into a narrow creek-bed beside the bridge, creating some difficulty for responders in extracting the victims.
State Police have cited the 40-year-old male driver, Bryant K. Hobgood of Mt. Vernon OH, for driving suspended, non-DUI, and a failue to keep vehicle under control citation.
Hobgood was taken to Minnie Hamilton Health system with back pain, and two females, reportedly 40 and a teen, appeared to have more serious injuries, reportedly head trauma and a fractured femur.
Both females were life-flighted from Big Bend to a medical center.
Calhoun EMS and the Grantsville VFD responded to the scene at the intersection of Yellow Creek and Sugar Camp Road at 1:30 a.m. The vehicle was traveling up Yellow Creek from State Rt. 5.
State Police are investigating the accident.
