MAN KILLS GIRLFRIEND - A Jefferson County man is charged with murder after allegedly shooting his ex-girlfriend to death in the parking lot of the Ranson WV Southern States store.
Ranson Police say the two had met to exchange some personal items.
Ray Cook, 37, of Harpers Ferry, was arrested shortly after the shooting and charged with first degree murder.
Police say the victim, Jenny Perrine, 36, was from Martinsburg.
They say she was shot several times while sitting in her vehicle. Reports indicate Perrine was originally from Webster Springs.
The shooting was the first murder in Ranson since 1998.
MAN SHOOTS BROTHER - James Harrison has shot and killed his brother Matthew Harrison in Matewan.
Sheriff's deputies say Matthew Harrison was found shot to death in his mother's home on Rutherford Hollow.
James Harrison has been arrested and charged with first degree murder.
Harrison admitted to shooting his brother, once in the face and once in the neck, according to a criminal complaint.
